These tracks form patterns which can be arranged into a song.<br \/>\nNote \/ Octave \/ Sample \/ Volume \/ Effect (pop out pan &amp; delay)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/giveushits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/1-track.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-311\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-311\" src=\"https:\/\/giveushits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/1-track.jpg\" alt=\"1-track\" width=\"141\" height=\"249\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Keyboard Focus<\/strong><br \/>\nRenoise contains specific areas of the screen that deal with different each function (entering notes, sequencing patterns etc). These can tabbed through by using the <i><strong>&#8220;Left Control\/Command + Left Shift + TAB&#8221;<\/strong>. <\/i>The highlighted section will appear with an orange bracket at each corner. Press ESC when the pattern editor is focussed to turn record on and start editing patterns.<strong><br \/>\nRenoise layout &#8211; F1 &#8211; F8 keys<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BPM &amp; LPB (Lines per beat)<br \/>\nTo increase the amount of increments in each pattern in order to program more details patterns, raise the number of lines per beat (LPB) and adjust the BPM accordingly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Useful Keyboard Shortcuts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Left Alt + Up\/Down Arrow Keys: Select previous\/next instrument<br \/>\nLeft Ctrl + Up\/Down Arrow Keys to scroll through patterns in song<br \/>\nCtrl + Left &amp; Right Keys to scroll through pattern number<br \/>\nLeft Alt + T: Select track<br \/>\nLeft Alt + F1\/F2: Transpose note<\/p>\n<p><strong>Using the Pattern Sequencer<br \/>\n<\/strong>Once notes have been entered into multiple pattern these patterns can be sequenced using the pattern editor (expand or collapse the pattern editor using [ALT M])<br \/>\n<em><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>example of using pattern editor<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Select &amp; Copy Patterns holding down Ctrl<br \/>\n(Holding Alt &amp; clicking mutes pattern &amp; appears crossed)<br \/>\nDuplicate pattens (hold shift &amp; select a select a series of patterns then right click duplicate)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Syncing a break <\/strong>(ensure your break is cut precisely) then C4 will be synched to the BPM<\/p>\n<p>Load a break<br \/>\nThen select autoslice (at low percentage to detect )<br \/>\nThen double click on unwanted slices<br \/>\nSlice tool will select a new slice for each click<br \/>\nMouse wheel to zoom &amp; adjust to each transient.<br \/>\nGo to top left to see what&#8217;s mapped at each key (change default from white keys only)<br \/>\nMapping the same instruments so it is layered on top of one another &amp;
